I know that it will because I was just like you.

For years, I felt sick without “being” sick. I was constantly fighting off symptoms like extreme fatigue, depression, weight gain, and bloating. My joints ached no matter how well I was eating or if I kept away from the sugar and caffeine.

I went to my doctor, who told me I tested positive for an autoimmune disease called Hashimoto's Thryoiditis. I suffered for a few years more until I learned from my new doctor how to eat to heal my body. For months, I put 500% of my efforts into discovering a sustainable way for me to improve my immune system and reduce the symptoms.

The magic came when I learned how to eat by following the Autoimmune Protocol.

About Me:

Hello! I'm Sandy Robinson. I am a wife, a mother of a blended family of 4 children, a Certified Health Coach/Personal Trainer/Personal Fitness Chef, Blogger, Podcaster, and Entrepreneur.

My journey into Hashimoto's Health Coaching is a direct result of my own frustrations I experienced when first being diagnosed with Hashimoto's in 2008 and feeling like I didn't have any information, support, or hope.

I had experienced symptoms for approximately 15 years before I was ever diagnosed. I was always told my symptoms were stress related, age related, all in my head, and just something I'd have to deal with. It was so very frustrating!

Then I became very sick and had gone to my Family Doctor again to try to figure out why. I finally had some new answers, and bloodwork that diagnosed me with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.

I was then sent on my way, with absolutely no idea of what Hashimoto's was, and absolutely no direction from my Family Doctor on what I was supposed to do to feel better. I had a label, but no hope for help or treatment.

Several years, 5 miscarriages, and a partial thyroidectomy later, a dear friend of mine told me about her doctor who specialized in Functional Medicine and specifically Hashimoto's care. On a last ditch effort to get the help I needed. I scheduled my consult. My life has been forever changed!

I was able to get the information I needed to understand why I have been feeling the way I did, why I continued to gain weight even though my "thyroid levels were normal," why my body ached all the time, why I continued to have migraines, digestive issues, hives, fatigue, brain fog, hair loss, and the list goes on. 

She prescribed me some medicine and gave me a list of protocols to follow. I was overwhelmed to say the least. I had no idea how I was going to follow all of these new rules, and no idea how to adjust my lifestyle/my family's lifestyle to meet the new demands. So, I decided to educate myself, and then use this story to help others. I didn't want anyone to feel helpless and hopeless like I did. 

That's what led me here. My deep desire to help others bridge the gap between the doctor and patient, to help people have success in feeling better and understanding what Hashimoto's is, fuels my daily goals and decisions.
