Hope Holcomb's Hashimoto's Story

Season #1 Episode #50

Today I have the great pleasure of a candid chat with a new local friend of mine,  Hope Holcomb.  She has been married for 23 years, and a mother to three amazing children.

She was a stay at home mom for about twenty years, then decided to go back to school, get her associates degree, and work in the school systems with children that have special needs.

She was diagnosed with Hashimoto's in January 2002, and has strived since then to not let it define her. Hope says, “having an invisible disease like Hashimoto’s sucks, but with the downs come the ups. I feel abundantly blessed in recent years to have supportive family, friends, and medical community to better care for my needs.”
