Fueling Up With Freshness: Simple Ways to Start a Clean Eating Lifestyle

Simple Ways To Start A Clean Eating Lifestyle

Are you looking for an easy way to jumpstart your clean eating journey? Eating healthy doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming. With a few simple strategies, you can start fueling up with freshness and enjoy the benefits of a clean eating lifestyle.

In this blog post, I will provide simple tips that will help you get started on the path towards healthier eating habits. Read on to discover how easy it can be to incorporate fresh ingredients into your daily diet!

Tip #1: Start small and make simple changes.

Instead of overhauling your entire diet, begin by adding more fruits and vegetables to your meals and slowly reducing unhealthy processed foods. When shopping, look for leaner cuts of meat preferably pastured or grass-fed organic and opt for mostly whole foods. You can ask yourself: "Does my plate mostly contain foods I would see growing in nature?"

Tip #2: Make your own meals at home.

Preparing food at home allows you to control the ingredients that go into your meals and ensures that you are eating fresh, unprocessed foods. Try planning out your meals ahead of time so that you can save time and money. Meal prepping is a great way to ensure that you always have healthy ingredients on hand.

Tip #3: Incorporate more plant-based foods into your diet.

Eating a variety of fruits, vegetables, legumes, and nuts can provide you with the essential vitamins and minerals that your body needs. Not to mention, plant-based foods are low in calories and high in fiber so they will help keep you feeling full and satisfied.

When purchasing nuts, look for organic and raw and sprouted when possible. When purchasing fruits and vegetables, look for wild/local. Aim for 60-80% of your diet to be plant based.

Tip #4: Get creative in the kitchen.

Experimenting with new and different recipes can help make healthy eating fun and exciting. Try to use a variety of flavors and ingredients, as this will help keep your palate engaged and reduce the chances of getting bored with your meals.

Tip #5: Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day.

Not only does water help your body flush out toxins, but it can also help you feel more energized and alert. Make sure to listen to your body’s signals and drink when you are thirsty. Drink approximately half your body weight (lbs) in water (oz) per day, majority 30 minutes before meals and 1-2 hours after.

Tip #6: Get enough sleep each night.

A lack of sleep can lead to a decrease in energy levels and an increased appetite, making it harder to stick to healthy eating habits. Maintain a regular sleep schedule and aim for around 7-8 hours of restful sleep each night.

Try not to eat anything after dinner to allow a long fast period of at least 12 hours before breakfast. Do not skip breakfast though, rather, you should eat within 1 hour of wakeup at the latest.

These are just a few tips to help you stay energized and maintain healthy eating habits. If you're still struggling to make these changes, I am here to support you.
